Suggested Student Activities

Student engagement in Self-Wellness week could be as easy a lunch time game and/or morning announcements/ reminders to focus on wellness this week. The following suggestions are based off of what went well in the 2020 school year. 

Students Between Classes

Middle School & High Schools

  • Sign "Be a Good Human" pledge & receive a wristband

  • Compliment Cards

  • Group Games during lunch (Cornhole, This or That, Blobs & Lines)

  • Wellness BINGO

  • Send out Parent Square/Student Square reminders of Wellness Week and suggest wellness related activities such as going for a walk, drinking more water, or journaling

  • Internal Goal Setting

  • Side Walk Chalk with positive/uplifting messages 

  • Continue to promote wellness on campus by sharing YC Wellness Wednesday messages via social media/Student Square

Girls at Recess

Elementary School

  • Read "I am Human" (2020 YC donated book) school-wide

  • Compliment Day, give friends compliments 

  • Wednesday Wellness BINGO

  • Add reminders of Wellness Week and suggest wellness related activities such as going for a walk, drinking more water, or drawing in the weekly newsletter

  • Good deed Day, practice doing good deeds for others all day

  • Side Walk Chalk with positive/uplifting messages 

  • School-wide morning dance out to uplifting song
